At Southwell Lifts & Hoists, we take pride in being an Australian engineering and manufacturing business established in 1945, marking 80 years of innovation and excellence.

From our humble beginnings in mining and transporting sand for the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we have evolved into a leading manufacturer of lifting equipment. Our journey has seen us create large truck cranes, elevated work platforms, and, more recently, goods hoists compliant with AS1418 part 8.

We have completed thousands of projects, including the 25-tonne truck hoist at the National Gallery of Victoria since 1975. Our commitment to innovation is evident in our unique designs, such as the first car lift with an integrated turntable in Australia.
