Southwell Lifts & Hoists worked closely with Storageland, Yatala, Qld to determine what would best suit their latest Self Storage development. It was a straightforward job as we have worked with Storageland Yatala installing two previous Southwell hoists so we knew what was expected. There was one challenge, limited head room for the three level Freestanding Goods Personnel Hoists; solution - manufacture the lifts in two (2) pieces. Once delivered, the hoists were carefully installed as pictured here.

  After fifteen (15) years of tough work, the old Southwell scissor lift hoist was retired as James Hardie ordered a replacement Scissor Lift for their Queensland factory. Southwell are extremely proud to continue their long and beneficial relationship and look forward to many more years as both our organisations grow into the future.   Installed close to ten (10) years ago, Southwell's custom designed and manufactured truck hoist situated on George Street Sydney is still going strong as shown here by this recent photo. The truck lift is 8200mm length x 3600mm width platform and travels nearly 7000mm with a lifting capacity of 10 Tonne. The mechanism is a double scissor lift to cater for the high vertical travel.
